A Dark affair between Time and Space……
As per modern science “time” is inseparable from space but for a “sakta” it was known thousands of years before. That’s why “ADYAKALI” represented as “Dark black” colour she represents space and time. Space is dark so is TIME so in Sanskrit it was “Kaal”, meaning “darkness” and “time”. The space exists because time exists. Modern science now agrees to it that time is fourth dimension.
Even if we go by simple physics, each matter is a condensed form of energy, and this is how space-time signifies “an existence”. Because Kali represents existence…Kali is existence…Whether you walk towards Maa Kali or not…You are Kali…proven by science too(for all people who looks world only logically). That’s why my guru says - ”aana toh yahin hai”…
The ferocious form represents “TIME”…it takes everyone to death eventually. It is unforgiving. It does not see whether you are big or small, good or bad, each and everything recedes ultimately in her engulfing mouth…The mortality of everything starts from kali ends at kali, not only the evil but everyone. It’s just that evils are front liner…
The tongue sticking out is not some fancy representation of feminism or whats app emoji of today’s generation, it symbolizes the “The hunger of Kali (the TIME) is never filled up..
The tongue is always ready to savour next death; next destruction; the next ending of something, unlike some mythological story or web series which tells you that she got ashamed of steping into Shiva…The stuck out tongue is the reminder to the viewer that her hunger(kaal) Is not filled yet…and the next person she going to savour is can be you…There is no way you can escape or resist..
There is no clothing for her…because time is nude…rough tough and rude…no politeness…no protocol…nothing to hide because at the end it is all her…
Why Shiva is under her feet…because he is the greatest “Kaal Shadhak”(Adi yogi)…the sadhana among highest is “kaal sadhana”..sadhana of TIME…It symbolizes that each and every sadhaka have to surrender themselves to the feet of “TIME”..to feet of Maa AdyaKali..because it is the source and it is the destination and it is the path too.
Shiva is “pati of kali”(not husband…pati means “prabhu” not husband…) only one to master time through surrender hence the name as “god of destroyer”…Its not like how movies depicts the story of Kali and Shiva…It is Shiva attaining sunyata under Kali’s feet to master time…He is the Adiyogi and source of all yogas which can allow you to control your time of death…Like my guru says if you worship Shiva you will get close to him you can be a yogi but if you worship kali you became shiva…
That’s how a “sakta” is…
She is Adya…both male and female…”sampurna” within..But the female representation is because “TIME” holds everything in her womb, she is the cosmic mother..the creation happened only because of time-space dimension, for anything to exists time has to create the space for it.Time is a female who gives birth to its children and takes them back into her embracing lap while singing the lullaby of funeral, the eternal sleep:the death..
Life is “LIFE” only due to its “TIME-LIMIT”…only because of an love affair between time and space…
