Maha Maya
Our generation is perhaps the only generation in history that has lived not just its own life, but witnessed countless others’ lives as well.
This cannot be random.
As a collective, we carry so many dreams.
We wish to experience so much.
To see, to feel, to live many different realities.
But not everyone has the punya to experience all those desires physically.
Not every wish aligns with our karma.
Not every longing is meant to unfold in this lifetime.
And we are living in Kali Yuga,
the Yuga of Maa Kali.
Tamas has increased.
The world moves quickly towards decay.
And one eternal truth stands firm everything that begins must end.
But perhaps there is divine intelligence in this.
In this very age, we have been given the ability to witness and mentally experience lives beyond our own through screens, through stories, through the perspectives of others.
Maybe this is not accidental.
Maybe this generation consumes so much of others’ lives for a reason.
By witnessing, by mentally living those experiences, some desires quietly dissolve.
Some souls feel fulfilled without physically attaining what they once craved.
And in that subtle fulfillment,
perhaps certain desires lose their grip.
Perhaps some karmic cycles end there itself.
Imagine the play of Maha Maya.
That a soul, simply by watching and internally experiencing something, becomes free from longing for it.
What a mysterious leela.
And those whose desire remains intense
who are not inwardly satisfied
they may attain it.
Maybe in this lifetime if their punya allows.
Maybe in another birth.
Who can truly understand Maa’s Maya?
We can only bow.
We can only surrender.
Jay Maa Adya.
Jay Maa Adya Mahakalika. 🪷
