Men Do We Truly Embrace Femininity?
It is easy to speak about supporting femininity.
Easy to post about empowerment.
Easy to say “respect women.”
Easy to glorify Devi in temples and scriptures.
But do we truly embody it?
That is the real question.
When your daughter, sister, wife, mother, or even your female friends speak from a perspective completely outside your understanding… what happens within you?
Do you pause and witness that consciousness as an expression of Maa Adhya Mahakali herself?
Do you give it adhikara the space and authority to express itself?
Or do you become like Daksha, trying to confine feminine consciousness into the box of your own comfort, logic, conditioning, and control?
This is where the real test begins.
Because it is hard.
Hard to swallow the masculine ego.
Hard to let go of the instinct to dominate, protect, control, or “know better.”
Hard to watch femininity take a position of power while your conditioning resists it internally.
But that swallowing of ego…
is the victory.
That is where Devi is pleased.
The problem is not femininity.
The problem is the unresolved conditioning and trauma within us that cannot surrender before Shakti.
And so the sadhaka prays:
“Maa, I now understand.
Despite what I feel internally, despite my reactions and fears, I understand this resistance is my conditioning.
I will not allow this ego to rise like Brahma.
Instead, I will lie down upon the pyre of my own ego and let You rise.
I become Shava before my Maa.”
And that Maa manifests through every feminine role in life.
As daughter.
As sister.
As wife.
As mother.
As friend.
As Shakti itself.
Then masculinity transforms.
It is no longer insecure dominance.
It becomes witnessing.
It becomes reverence.
It becomes Bhairava.
Because the true “alpha” is not the one who controls femininity…
but the one who stands in awe of it without fear.
To be Shiva.
To be Bhairava.
To remain eternally receptive to the greatness of Shakti.
And so the prayer continues:
“Maa, help me rise higher and higher.
Help me understand You.”
