Nithya Gau Seva

Nithya Gau Seva

Wife wanted a Satvik homam done, calls up a Purohit quite popular apparently. I never interfere in all this, she follows her own thing too. After deep discussions, he advises her that Gau Pooja is mandatory and he would bring a small toy cow, in place of the real cow as ‘getting a cow is next to impossible these days’. I over hear this conversation (On loudspeaker) Mr wife responds, ‘We have a cow’ ‘You have a cow?’ ‘Yes’ ‘You have a toy cow already?’ ‘No, we have a real cow’ *Silence, followed by a low voice* ‘I will still bring the cow toy, as we haven’t done much of Pooja with a real cow. ‘ Bemused, I slowly walk away, the conversation no longer relevant to me. It was only a few days back I wondered how Satvik Upsana is losing Sakthi because of lack of Gau Seva, and to get such an affirmation today, from such a popular Purohit. It is the nature of Bhairava to destroy maya within sadhana and show the one, true relevant path no matter what century we are in. Once Bhairava decides, every second is learning, He who hasn’t tasted the sweetest nectar thinks those who have, are lying about it. Nithya Gau Seva is an extremely potent part of Upasana, and it is possible only by the blessings of the Deities in this Yuga, its fruits are plenty, and empowering. You may be reciting Mantras after Mantras day in and day out, but will you have a toy cow, or will you be blessed with a real one, isn’t judged by you. It is for the Deity to decide. If they find you worthy, they will set it up for you. No matter what. I have been adamant I would never choose the easy way, like a lemon instead of an actual Bali etc. This is Not a diss on those who do, but I am sure we can all agree an actual ritual with actual intended offering trumps an ‘alternative’, every time. In pic - Kamakshi’s little horns growing, At the Tip resides Bharma Deva, The middle part is MahaVishnu and the Base (from which sprouts the horn) Is MahaDev Shiva himself.
