Reciting Kawach

Q. I am reciting Batuka kawach for a year, but it is not working, please suggest a stronger Kawach. A. Kawach works when you truly believe in its power, and in Guru Kripa. The Guru’s Kripa is the FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE, followed by the Kawach. Until the Kawach is perfected (usually 2-3 years of recitation), it is the Guru’s Kripa that protects you, post that the Kawach takes a hold. Merely invoking the Guru’s image itself can protect intensely, until the kawach is perfected. Also one of the reasons why I never give a kawach, and simply state ‘recite any bhairava or Kaalika kawach’, because the first defence is also the Guru and parampara.
